Leadership
Responsible for the overall vision, strategy, financial oversight of the university’s physical assets. Leads the Brandeis’ Facilities Services organization with approximately 125 staff in the areas of custodial, grounds, and operations and maintenance technicians. Stewardship includes 24-hour routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance/repairs, cleaning of 100+ campus buildings totaling three million gross square feet, and grounds spanning across 235 acres.
Chief Maintenance Officer responsible for the operation and maintenance of all campus buildings and their systems. Supervises 32 maintenance technicians and outside contractors across the campus to provide efficient and reliable operation of building systems including the building envelop, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
Provides leadership and expertise to the Grounds Team in order to maintain 235 acres of all types of terrain across campus including landscape and hardscape maintenance, irrigation, turf/plants/tree management, snow removal and inclement weather clean up. Responsible for oversight of the pest management contractor and the integrated pest management plan. Oversees trash and recycling management and its vendors while working closely with the Sustainability Manager to achieve all Brandeis and state policies and goals. Manages the entire vehicle fleet of Facilities Services.
Supervises the day-to-day custodial services operations of a 72-person division across 100+ buildings to ensure a clean and safe environment for the Brandeis community. Coordinates emergency custodial needs throughout campus and works closely with University Events for set up/down and cleaning of all campus events.
Coordinates and leads Facilities Services in assigned areas including custodial, operations and maintenance, and grounds services to support all university activity during off-shift times. Directly supervises a small custodial staff during off-shift hours.
